Black Surinam cherry

This seedling is known for being one of the best tasting Surinam Cherries. This is from beautiful black fruited variety, which produces deeply red to almost black colored fruits with excellent flavour. A shrubby tree, growing to 10-25 ft / 8 m. Produces prolific amounts of cherry-sized fruits which can be eaten raw or used in beverages and desserts. Hardy to the mid 20’s (F), and occasionally lower. Excellent for container culture.
