Dried Soapnut

Soapnut or soapberries are the fruits of tree Sapindus Trifoliatus. Those fruits are collected, dried well. It is called as Phenil, Ritha, Reetha in Hindi, Cavakkay, Uruvanchi in Malayalam, Kunkudu Chettu in Telugu, Antuvalakayi, Norekayi in Kannada, Arithi or Aritho in Gujarathi. 

Dried Soapnut is used as a cleaning and foaming agent. It is used to make cloth washing detergent, natural shampoo along with shikakai
